Student corporation "Rubonia" convention hall. A rare picture showing one of the halls of the Riga German student corporation "Rubonia" in Pulvertorni. In the left corner of the hall, you can see a wooden paneled niche, which is most likely one of the towers ancient loopholes. Rubonia actively used the luxurious pseudo-medieval style rooms created in the Powder Tower until the beginning of World War 1, when it was evacuated to Moscow. One of the most odious members of the corporation, who was an active corporal before the war - Alfred Rosenberg. One of the main ideologues of German Nazism, whose works Adolf Hitler refers to in his book "Mein Kampf". After the occupation of the Baltic and Eastern Europe, Rozenberg is appointed Minister of State for Eastern Regions. Sentenced to death in Nuremberg in 1946.
