Nikolajs Isajevs (1891-1977)
Painter, graphic artist, designer. Born near to the Odessa. In beginning of 1900 studied art in Odessa and Kharkov, in 1912th arrived in St. Petersburg. 1920-1924th worked as a decorator in the National Theatre in Belgrade. In 1925, he moved to Paris. Has attended classes at the studio of V.I.Shuhaeva and A.E.Yakovleva. In 1926, he organized a one-day solo exhibition. Painted landscapes, still lifes with flowers, fishes and birds, portraits. Created illustrations for Sh.Bodlera, P.Ronsara, Nikolai Gogol's books. Several solo exhibitions in galleries in Paris (1949, 1951, 1962, 1964, 1968, 1976 - in retrospect), New York (1957).
