For eight years he was engaged only in painting, until he received a license from the state for the production of porcelain. Until his death in 1845, Karl Magnus stubbornly developed his business, striving for the perfect quality of porcelain, which would not be inferior to the products of more famous European competitors. The founder's widow and his children took the reins of the factory into their own hands and continued Karl's work with no less enthusiasm. Mugnus. In 1857, his son, Lorenz Hutchenreuther, opened another factory in Selb, which subsequently led to the growth of the region's popularity as a center of porcelain production in Germany.
